Xplore Roatán

An in-port tour operator at Mahogany Bay, Roatán — zip lines, ATVs, horseback rides for cruise visitors. We run their search presence and paid campaigns.

The problem

The ad account was spending real money against a broken conversion signal. The one live campaign bid on Maximize Conversion Value, but no real booking revenue was being passed in — every conversion counted a flat $1. Around 18 different actions were marked "primary", so the bidding algorithm chased cheap micro-actions (add-to-cart, map directions, even YouTube subscribes) instead of sales.

None of it needed more budget. It needed fixing what the account counted as success.

What we did

18 → 1primary conversion goals — bidding now optimizes for bookings only
0 → livehigh-intent Search coverage for tour-related searches
5 minowner-readable diagnostic instead of a 40-page deck

Why it matters

Paid traffic is only as good as the signal it optimizes toward. Most accounts we open have the same illness: automation pointed at the wrong target, budget quietly underspent, and the highest-intent searches left to competitors. The fix is rarely more spend — it’s making the account count the right thing, then covering the searches that convert.
